They say that good things come to those who wait. Finally, more than a year after the rumours started and we announced the exclusive, it has been confirmed that the Middle East will get its first Apple store.

Like waiting for a London bus or a Dubai taxi however, the region is getting not one, but two Apple stores.

Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates and Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall will be the first locations for the Californian tech giant, which will open on Thursday 29 October. Apple made both announcements this morning.

The stores were confirmed after a creative barricade was installed around both locations, designed by Arabic calligrapher Samir Sayegh.

Opening times for both stores will be Monday - Wednesday and Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 pm. Thursday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.
