Air Drive – classic cars given a sci-fi upgrade

Ever wondered what a classic Aston Martin DB5 would look like as a Star Wars Landspeeder?

If you read our article on the reality of the flying car last month, you'll know that in all likelihood, as much as it pains us to say it, we're not going to get a viable flying car option any time soon.

However, just because flying cars aren't going to become a reality in the near future, that doesn't mean we can't dream about having them, and if you were going to have any kind of flying car, there's no better choice than a classic.Clearly French photographer Renaud Marion agrees with us, and he produced this set of images featuring all his favourite classics, from the Aston Martin DB5 to the Jaguar E-Type, only he gave them a Star Wars-style upgrade, removing the wheel arches and tyres and reimagining them as flying cars.

The collection is up on display alongside a host of other cool projects, including the stunning Starfleet Machine, at the MB&F M.A.D Gallery in Geneva. If only we had a flying DB5 to get there.
