Ron English: the POPaganda king

The American pop artist who has a say on society.

For as long as central governments have been in charge of countries, there has been propaganda to influence the way the public thinks.

The word itself is tinged with negative connotations, with the thought of the powerful exerting control over the masses unsavoury too say the least. 

However, artist Ron English has turned the concept of propaganda on its head with his version, POPaganda, telling the truths that governments and massive corporations don't want you to hear.

The likes of McDonald's, Disney, The Simpsons and even US President Obama have featured in English's colourful works so far, often in a less-than-positive light.
