In a city where jaw-dropping views come as a side to your entrée, the trick to securing a great table at a restaurant is positioning yourself for the optimum vista.

Quite often though that can be hard to do, because any restaurant above ground level in Abu Dhabi is going to have multiple windows to watch a spectacular sunset.

Step forward Stratos: the emirate’s first rotating restaurant.

Located at the highest point of Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi, Stratos opens its doors next month promising a five-star, revolving experience for its diners. Afternoon tea, sunset cocktails and international cuisine will all be on the menu.

It will in fact be the UAE capital’s first revolving bar and lounge, offering quite literally 360 degrees panoramic views of the ever-changing cityscape.

As long as you’re not prone to motion sickness, we’ll see you there for the opening.
