Hard as nails, light as a feather

We haven't featured many Rado watches before, but the DiaMaster RHW1 Limited Edition is special. Why? Because not only does it look gorgeous, weigh next to nothing and have an extremely hard-wearing case, it also features a most unusual movement for such a high-tech ceramic watch. After designing such a featherweight case using Si3N4 TiN - a form of high-tech ceramic composite made by heating the mixed powders at 1,800°C in an over pressure atmosphere of nitrogen - Rado was keen to create a super-lightweight movement to match. The first stage in creating the special movement was removing the oscillating weight, which meant that this had to be a hand-winding mechanical watch. And the durability is increased yet further by the fact that all the aluminium parts have been anodised in order to increase their toughness. With technologically advanced materials and a sleek, modern design, the DiaMaster RHW1 is an excellent option if you're looking for a lightweight and stylish timepiece. Details: Visit Rado.com
