Mantellasi 1926 - 'Italian design ambassador'

July 17, 2014
Sometimes it's the most simple things in life that, when done well, give the most pleasure. This new table set by Mantellassi 1926 is the perfect example. The 'Ola' coffee and lamp tables by the high-end Italian furnishing company have a bronze glass surface which sits on a varnished wooden base, showing off their graceful geometric forms. Made from lacquered wood and dotted with bevelled mirrors, the design pieces are structured in walnut veneer. Coffee tables don't come much more distinguished then this. Mantellasi 1926, based in Tuscany, claim to have assumed the role of 'ambassador of Italian design in the world'. It's quite a statement to make, but on this showing they're living up to their self-proclaimed billing. [gallery link="none" ids="5785,5784,5786"] Details: visit
