Roc the Italian Formula 1 Grand Prix in style

August 3, 2014
There's not much in the world that can beat day at the Italian Formula One Grand Prix. The passionate Monza crowd almost drowning out the sound of the screaming engines powering the cars around one of the fastest circuits on the F1 calendar is an experience like no other. In fact, the only drawback we could see about the whole experience is that such is its intensity, it'll probably leave you needing a holiday to calm down. That's where Hotel Eden Roc, Ascona, comes in. Hidden away on the peaceful shores of Lake Maggiore in Switzerland, Eden Roc seems a world away from the chaos of Monza, yet it's only a couple of hours away by car. (Note - normal road production car, not the F1 type.) On race weekend - September 5 to 8 - the hotel is offering a package that includes three nights' accommodation, dining and of course an adrenaline-fuelled trip to Monza on race day, all for 1,300 euros per person. And while you're not watching the racing you certainly won't be short of things to do, with a private marina with eight moorings, four restaurants and a bar on site, plus two excellent 18-hole golf courses nearby. Seriously, how else would you want to spend your weekend at one of the best GPs on the F1 circuit? [gallery link="none" ids="6546,6545,6544,6543,6542,6541,6540"] Details: visit
