The spy film of 2014 - Kingsman: The Secret Service

June 21, 2014
Now I hope we're not being bias here, but when it comes to glorifying the life of an undercover agent on the silver screen, British actors do it better than anyone. There's something about their over-polished characters that renders them one pocket square away from double-crossing. So we're pretty excited about Kingsman: The Secret Service which stars British Oscar-winner Colin Firth in the lead, even if it does look ever so slightly cheesy and mightily predictable. But hey, so is every Bond film and yet we still love them. Based upon the acclaimed comic book and directed by Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class), Kingsman is essentially every kid's dream: a super-secret spy organisation recruits an unlikely but potential-heavy teenager to help combat a new global threat. Awesome. Firth is joined by heavyweights Samuel L. Jackson and Michael Caine in this part Bond, part Hunger Games flick - there's ultra-competitive training between the young men chosen by the service. It also has several brands in support, as a film of this much suave and panache inevitably does. Mr will launch the entire bespoke 60-piece menswear collection that features throughout the film, and British watchmaker Bremont will issue its custom pieces from the film in October. So if you love Kingsman as much as we think you will, you'll be able to dress just like one. Details: in cinemas October 2014.
