The Global 500, an annual ranking system by leading valuation and strategy consultancy Brand Finance, calculates the most valuable and powerful brands in the world. In order to determine the strength and power of a brand, Brand Finance first evaluates factors such as marketing investment, familiarity, loyalty, staff satisfaction and corporate reputation and then regulates the overall business revenue that is contributed by a brand.
In this year’s edition, Saudi Arabia’s Saudi Telecom CO. (STC) ranked at 252nd place – making it the most valuable brand in the Middle East. Meanwhile, Emirates, the world’s largest airline, remained the most valuable brand in the UAE.
Elsewhere, Apple has been overtaken by Google to become the most valuable brand on the planet while Lego has been named the most powerful brand in the world. Click through the slideshow to see the 10 most valuable brands in the world.
