Meryl D'Souza January 25, 2017

If earning a bigger paycheque is one of your goals for 2017, you may be happy to know that recruitment in the UAE increased by 30 per cent in the final quarter of last year and is expected to steadily rise as we head towards Expo 2020.

However if you've been looking for new employment for a while with no luck, you may want to take a look at your LinkedIn profile. Why? Because it’s like Facebook for recruiters. Like it or not your potential employer is going to internet stalk you and the last thing you want your employer to see – apart from your Facebook profile that’s flooded with memes – is your basic LinkedIn page that still lists that coffee making job you had fresh out of college.

It's time you learnt to wield the power of the world’s largest professional network. We could give you tips on how to do it, but why tell you when we can show you. For the first time ever, LinkedIn has released a list of the most powerful profiles in the UAE. The site uses member data to pull profile views for a particular year to determine its most powerful profiles across various fields.

We chose to stick with the most powerful CEO profiles because, like we told you before, no title in the region pays more. So here, take a look and learn from LinkedIn’s 11 most powerful CEO profiles in the UAE for 2016 (in no particular order) and take some tips. Remember, these 11 stand out from the three million LinkedIn members in the UAE, so they must be doing something right.
