1 How do you describe yourself?
Hardworking and simple, family is very important to me, as is respecting and helping people.
2 How do others describe you?
Caring, helpful, respectable and a team player.
3 What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being made captain of the Algerian national team.
4 What is your biggest regret?
I have been very blessed to say I have none and that I hope my decisions in life are always the right ones.
5 What do you consider your best attribute?
I always try to support the team on an emotional level and provide the foundation to help them get through the most difficult games.
6 What is your least favourite attribute in people?
I take fair play very seriously and I’m strongly against racism.
I started my career at 21...it is never too late to do what you love.
7 What quality do you value in people?
Someone who is a team player and has honesty on the field.
8 What is something we don’t know about you?
I started my football career at the age of 21. Before that I was studying computer science in University.
9 What inspires you?
Continual improvement and the desire to be remembered as a great defender.
10 What is your most prized possession?
Even though they are not possessions, my children.
11 Do you have a personal motto?
It’s either now or never.
12 What advice would you give to yourself as a 16-year-old?
Keep believing in yourself and your dreams, it’s never too late to do what you love.

Respect isn't handed to you, you have to earn it.
14 What film are you embarrassed that you have never seen?
15 What is your biggest luxury?
To speak to fans who look up to me as a role model.

Kindness and respect.

If you don’t take risks you will never achieve what you wanted to become, because respect isn’t handed to you, you have to earn it.
