It may be hard to believe, but the combination of high-end fashion brands and luxury timepieces is somewhat of a recent phenomenon. And, frankly, the lack of interest previously shown by the majority of haute couture brands to luxury timepieces is rather baffling.
Why would brands such as Dior or Louis Vuitton – trailblazers in the world of fashion, accessories and cosmetics – settle for a second-rate reputation in the sophisticated and luxurious world of watchmaking?
