Rich men across the world are obsessed with these jeans

It seems the world has finally caught up with what we've been saying for some time, that men have started shopping like women.
While we told you that certain men’s apparel costs more than women’s, it turns out your fashion conscious approach to life is going to cost you big.
How much you ask? Well, for starters take a look at these $895/AED 3300 jeans for men. At first glance, they may look like any pair you can find at an H&M or American Eagle store, but they aren't.
The distressed jeans made by the label Fear Of God shouldn’t work. We can get on board with the bleachy stone wash and the rips, but the zippered ankles taint everything denim stands for. They essentially make the jeans come off as trackpants and yet almost every male style maven with a wad of cash owns a pair.
What’s with the sky-high price?
Here's your free fashion lesson of the day: denim from Japan has a reputation among enthusiasts as being the best in the world. It may not have nearly as long of a history as American denim, but Japanese denim is known for its premium construction and the skilled, artisanal craft required to make it.
Fear Of God’s selvedge denim jeans are made with a 15oz Japanese cotton 3x1 selvedge indigo denim, lined with Japanese cotton twill pocketing, and come with a brushed titanium zipped from RiRi – also known as the Rolls Royce of zippers in the fashion industry.
As you might be thinking, that’s a lot of work for an independent brand. All that sourcing and discarded prototypes only increase the cost. So essentially you’re not just paying for the pair you’re buying, you’re also paying for a few that got discarded while making yours.
Where do they rank?
If we’re looking at all-time, the title for most expensive pair of jeans goes to Secret Circus that would set you back a ridiculous $1.3 million for a pair for women. What else did you expect from a brand that decides to put actual diamonds on the back pocket?
However if you’re looking at the high-end men’s market right now, the most expensive pair of jeans from Tom Ford would cost you about $870/AED 3000, so F.O.G. comes in just above.
The target demographic
Even for those can afford to spend AED 3000+ on jeans, they know that settling for anything around the AED 2000 price range makes no difference. And that's why F.O.G.’s jeans are about more than just the price tag.
They are another fashion social statement, for the Kanye Wests and Justin Biebers of the world. Those guys that don’t think twice (or at all) about dropping a cool $1000 on clothes. They probably pair them up with a pair of Kanye's Yeezy Boosts, too.
