Even when he’s watching the Wall Jon Snow smells good

Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington is the new face of Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance.

We imagine Jon Snow smells permanently of wood smoke, pond water and a spritz of horse sweat as a result of his latest ride across the fields after another ruthless battle.

But Kit Harington, who plays the Game of Thrones hero, is a far sweeter smelling proposition after he inked a deal to be the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance The One for Men this week.

The 30-year-old actor has been chosen by the Italian designers Stefano Gabbana Domenico Dolce because, they say, he is “young, naturally charming and charismatic.” The London-born star will be seen fronting the fragrance, which was previously endorsed by Matthew McConaughey, from September.

Harington was recently spotted dancing through the streets of Napoli with a female model on a video shoot for the fragrance. Fans gathered under the balcony of Harington’s hotel room and chanted ‘King of the North’ as he waved back.

Harington, who is expected to return in season seven of Game of Thrones in July has long been associated with grooming, with his hair becoming almost a character in itself on the hit HBO show. It even has its own twitter account.

Alas, he also caused outrage and despair among GOT fans when he shaved off his equally famous beard for a role in Dr Fastus on the London stage in June 2016. If the show gets the green light for an eighth season (fingers crossed), Harington’s co-stars can expect their scenes with Jon Snow to smell a little sweeter than horse breath.
