Although its luxury hotels is one of the key selling points of Dubai, many of them look awfully familiar once you step inside; very few actually feel unique.

But that won't be the case with ME Dubai as the new Meliá hotel will be designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid, which means every aspect of the hotel's design is going to be completely different from anything else the city has to offer - as you can see from the images.

The partnership was announced at London Design Festival where the 'crest' installation this year is a water sculpture commissioned by Meliá, that will stand in the new ME Dubai once it is completed in 2016. The 100-room hotel will be located in Downtown Dubai and will include four penthouse suites with private roof terraces and a signature Suite ME.

It will also boast a Michelin-star restaurant and exclusive F&B brands. So, the design will be different, but it will still very much be a luxury Dubai hotel.
