What we know about the Four Seasons DIFC

A rooftop pool, four new restaurants and each room with its own private bar - the new Four Seasons hotel in Dubai sounds right up our street.

For one of the world’s most premier hotel names, it was surprising how long it took Four Seasons to enter the Dubai market.

It tried back in 2009 in Festival City, but the financial crisis put paid to those plans. So instead the luxury hotel chain went and launched its own private jet

But late in 2014, Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah Beach finally opened, and since that day the resort has been a stomping ground for Dubai’s elite.

And now, like all good things you wait for, a second Four Seasons property is launching in Dubai.

Targeting the city’s business community, the new hotel will be in DIFC and plans to open by April this year, with reservations already being accepted.

Designed to blend in with the financial district, the hotel will be styled like a private members club, with wood clad walls, custom carpeting and artwork throughout. Naturally there will be a top of the range gym and spa, for those who like to workout or massage on their lunch hour, and a gorgeous looking rooftop pool.

Adding to DIFC’s culinary and social scene, the hotel will house four restaurants and lounges - including Firebird Diner by Michael Mina - a cigar club and sky bar.

It is of course targeting business travellers, those who are in town just for the night. As such, there will only be 106 rooms, including 8 suites – a small number by Dubai’s grand hotel standards. However, as each room comes with its own private bar, we strongly suggest you consider checking in every now and then.

And that’s not all for Four Seasons’ footprint in the UAE. The country’s capital will also soon get its first resort from the brand, with Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi opening on Al Maryah Island – also in the business district – later this year.
