Meydan Ramadan Tent

For traditional Arabic favourites in elegant surroundings, head to this five-star hotel located next to the famous Meydan horse racing track.

 

You’ll find six cooking stations offering the likes of lamb ouzi and mixed Arabic mezze, as well as international flavours, including Italian, Japanese and Indian. Save room for the classic Arabic puddings, such as umm ali, cheese kunafa, and the signature Meydan Qamar Al Dain Muhalbyia.

Al Fanous Lounge at Dubai Ballroom

Step into opulent surroundings for this iftar. The ballroom transforms during Ramadan, with jewel tones, Oriental carpets and an oud player adding to the ambiance.

Asateer Tent

A perennial favourite, this Ramadan experience features glittering lights and plenty of live entertainment with traditional Arabic music and Sufi whirling during our visit.

 

A wide range of buffet dishes are on offer, such as lamb kebbeh, a shawarma station and an Arabic mixed grill. There are also delicacies from Gordon Ramsay’s famous Bread Street Kitchen.

 

You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to desserts. There are ten stations that include live Arabic sweet-making, a chocolate fountain and a macaroon-adorned palm tree and camel decorations.

Hakkasan

For an alternative take, this award-winning Cantonese restaurant is offering a four-course iftar set menu in its intimate setting. There’s plenty of choice among the generously sized dishes, combined with fantastic service.

 

Starting with a light mushroom soup, it’s followed by the restaurant’s signature Peking duck, a platter of dim sum, and dishes chosen especially for the occasion. Desserts include vanilla and date ice-cream, plus traditional Arabic sweets.
