Apple Music Replay has launched

Words by Nathan Irvine

We're going back. WAY back...

In a move that’s come out of nowhere, Apple Music has announced its Replay feature. It’s a brand-new feature that bundles all of your most listened songs into one handy playlist and is available to Apple Music subscribers now.

If this all sounds familiar, it’s because Spotify already has something similar. The end of year “Wrapped” playlist that gives you a run down of your favourite tunes has been going for a few years now, and it’s great. But Apple Music Replay takes things to a whole new level.

Same but different

The major difference with Apple Music Replay is that not only will it give you an annual playlist to listen to, it works all year round. So as you switch between genres and moods, it will keep the tracks in the playlist up-to-date.

Brilliantly, subscribers will also be able to access retrospective collections. Going back to the day you signed up for Apple Music, you can enjoy compilations from yesteryear too.

Importantly, you’re able to share these playlists with friends and family at the touch of a button. So if you’re determined to get Aunt Maud into that electro-ska you’ve been banging on about for months, you can give her a taste by sending it via iPhone or Mac.
