Electric cars are dominating motor shows

Words by Nathan Irvine

The brands racing down electric avenue.

There’s been a shift in gear from big car manufacturers throughout 2019. As more and more car shows have crop up on the calendar, so too do big brand electric and hybrid vehicles. The revolution to a fully electric future has begun.

It was a field once ruled by Tesla. But as the competition slowly realised that electric cars were selling well, and that it was a more environmentally friendly approach, the likes of Aston Martin, Jaguar, Porsche and more have jumped on board.

No longer can it be considered a fad, the electric and hybrid motors are here to stay. Here’s a look at some of the most recent vehicles.

As Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, stated a long time ago “Competition makes for a better future for all of humankind”. The electric car pioneers are less interested in beating the competition and more inclined to help them.

Tesla already provide electric powertrains to car manufacturers such as Toyota, Daimler and Mercedes.
