The ten-part docuseries focuses on the finer details of a compelling Formula 1 season

Netflix has announced that its new docuseries, Formula 1: Drive to Survive will arrive on March 8. The ten-part series peeks behind the scenes of the 2018 championship with unprecedented access to the teams and drivers.

And judging by this trailer, it looks set to be a gripping affair throughout…

It’s produced by those behind the excellent Amy and Senna documentaries. Famed for their “warts and all” approach, expect Formula 1: Drive to Survive to dig deep into the sport whilst revealing the heroes and villains of F1 in all their glory/shadiness.

F1 director of media rights, Ian Holmes, says: “As we move into a new generation of Formula 1 we are thrilled to announce our new docuseries Formula 1: Drive to Survive.”

Holmes continued “This truly unique series embodies the sport and helps us to showcase and unearth the untold stories on and off the track. Partnering with Netflix to create an original series puts us at the forefront of becoming a media and entertainment brand and attracting new fans to the sport.”
