Known for being one of the best-dressed players on tour, EDGAR spoke to the former Dubai resident and current Audemars Piguet ambassador at Carine restaurant in Emirates Golf Club ahead of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, where he modelled the latest Hugo Boss golf clothing. We began by asking him about his troublesome injury.
How’s the elbow, Henrik?
It’s better, thanks. I wouldn’t say it’s 100 per cent but I’m hopefully moving in that direction. I can do more things in the gym now and it doesn’t bother me when I’m playing golf. But I bumped it against a wall a couple of weeks ago and felt it flare up, so it’s sensitive.
Does an injury like that damage your confidence?
Not really. I think if you have an injury that you feel is going to grab you when you make a shot that’s worse and could start playing on your mind, but I haven’t had any of that. It’s been a negative because I haven’t been able to work out or practice the way I wanted and I missed a few tournaments in the autumn, but I’m not going to sit here and complain because there are people with bigger problems than me.
