The store manager at Hermès in Guangzhou must be walking around with a big smile on their face this week. Reports say the boutique in the affluent part of China recorded sales of $2.7 million in a single weekend when it reopened after the corona virus lockdown.
It’s thought female accessories made up the bulk of the items that passed through the cash register, but judging by the outstanding men’s SS20 collection, there might have been a few pieces of menswear that also got snapped up.
