Luke Evans lands Versace eyewear gig

Hollywood actor Luke Evans is the new face of Versace eyewear and got the job after impressing the boss with his good looks.

The Welsh actor, who recently turned 40, met the brand’s chief creative officer Donatella Versace in 2018 and the pair hit it off. “It was love at first sight,” smiles Versace, “I was charmed by his looks.”

Those movie star looks were captured by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the crisp new pix seen here. Versace’s famous Medusa symbol and its laser-engraved Greek Key motif appear on the bridge and temples of the three new frames, some of which feature mirror lenses.

Evans, currently starring with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler in the Netflix movie Murder Mystery, models a classic pilot shape, a contemporary visor frame, and a pair of spectacles.

The actor from Clash of the Titans and Fast & Furious 6 announced on Instagram that was “super excited” to front Versace’s new campaign – but by the sound of things, not half as excited as his number one fan Donatella.
