Reebok to fly in Kickasso for The Dubai Mall event

Words by Nathan Irvine

A one-off chance to bag a wearable piece of art

The Picasso of sneaker art is coming to Dubai on July 11-12. LA-based artist Troy Cole, who goes by the catchy nickname of Kickasso, is being flown in by Reebok to ensure its new The Dubai Mall Fit Hub 3.0 opening goes off with a bang.

Kickasso has worked on a number of bespoke sneaker and boot collections for sports stars and A-list celebrities. His client list includes the likes of golfer Rory McIlroy, actor Michael B. Jordan and football legend David Beckham. And just like these superstars, you’ll get your chance to grab a bespoke pair of sneakers soon, too.

Design for life

The event is an absolute must for sneakerheads. Between 6pm and 9pm, you’ll get the chance to have Kickasso add his signature style to your Reeboks - either a box fresh pair or old ones from home, for free. There will also be pre-designed kicks on-sale during the event that will range between AED 1,100 and AED 4,400.

And it sounds like Kickasso is pumped about the event, too. “I’m really excited about my Reebok collaboration and first visit to Dubai” says Troy.

He continues “I picture the city as a diamond in the Middle East, with a vibrant focal point, not only for the region, but throughout the world, in setting new expectations and being at the forefront of fashion and design.”
