Tech review: Fitbit Versa 2

Words by Natasha Manning

Fitbit has packed a string of new features in its new Versa 2 – we took it for a spin.

• The battery lasted for a very impressive seven days despite having an always-on clock face.

• With sleep being such an important part of our lives, this function is a complete game-changer. The watch gave me a breakdown of my different sleep cycles along with a Sleep Score and tips to improve my snooze.

Urban or sports - the Versa 2 fits in

• I liked how I didn’t need to tell the watch when I was being active, it just knew and logged my activity. I loved the friendly little reminders when I hit a certain number of steps per hour. It kept me moving throughout the day, especially when I was sat at my desk.

• The easily-adjustable strap is comfortable and the watch is light. I barely knew it was there, which is important if you’re wearing it for 24 hours.

Comfortable and lightweight, you won't feel the Versa 2

• I tracked other stats such as my water and food consumption; I connected to the Fitbit Pay and Spotify apps too, which was useful. I even relaxed with the app that helped me find moments of calm.

• There’s no need to lock the watch before going into water – perfect for the pool or shower.

Natasha’s verdict: The Fitbit Versa 2 is such an intelligent and efficient piece of kit and pretty good value at AED 899. I’ve become really attached – it’s my new best friend.
