Tesla adds more Atari games to its cars

Words by Nathan Irvine

Gaming-on-the-go.

Tesla continues to blur the lines between the automotive and tech industries with its latest update. The electric car market leader has announced that the TeslAtari (a hybrid of Tesla and retro gaming icon, Atari) will add two new games to the touchscreen displays in the Model S, X and 3. We’ll have to wait and see if it arrives in the upcoming Model Y.

2048 and Super Breakout are the new classic titles that will help pass the time when you’re sat waiting for that friend who’s always late.

The two additions will take the small back catalogue of games to six, with more coming soon. Missile Command, Asteroids, Lunar Lander and Centipede are the other four. And had not been for a legal dispute, it would’ve been seven had racing game Pole Position not been removed.

We love the quirkiness of playing games in a Tesla – especially considering you can use the steering wheel as a controller.
