The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah is now open

Just when you thought it couldn’t be more difficult to choose a luxurious resort to visit in the Maldives, The Residence by Cenizaro serves up another top drawer venue. Set on the Gaafu Alifuu atoll, one of the country’s most picturesque areas, The Residence Maldives at Dhigurah is home to 173 outstanding villas.

The property is aimed at families, so it’s perfect for those of you with little ones. But that doesn’t mean the adults aren’t well catered for, too.

There are a number of dining options available. From the beachfront Dining Room that serves food all day, to high quality Cantonese and Chinese fare at the resort’s Li Bai restaurant.

Dive in

Our favourite part of the whole resort is the impressive infinity pool. For starters, it’s massive. 42 metres of crystal clear waters that give you incredible panoramic views of the sea.

There’s a fully equipped gym, complimentary bikes for each villa and a watersports and dive centre. The latter is a must as the area around the atoll contains 250 species of coral and 1,200 species of marine life such as dolphins, turtles and manta rays to discover.
