The World of Ramadan at The Dubai Mall

The Dubai Mall is inviting one and all to discover the true meaning of Ramadan this year. 2019 is the Year of Tolerance across the UAE and the activities and events taking place encourage residents and citizens to partake in it.

Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department is responsible for putting on The World of Ramadan at Dubai’s biggest mall. The government department aims to inspire the spirituality of Ramadan through social programmes aimed at all communities, religions and groups of society.

What’s on?

Located at the waterfalls inside Dubai Mall, you can experience a number of activities for all the family.

There are Arabic calligraphy classes, poetry readings about the UAE and tolerance, and games and competitions.

Dr. Hamad Al Shaibani, Director-General of the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Departments and the Chairman of the Higher Committee of Ramadan Dubai, said, “The department, as the leading Islamic charity institution in Dubai, seeks to strengthen the role of the Islamic religion in the promotion of the practice of tolerance.”

He continues “There is no better occasion than the Holy Month of Ramadan to reflect the highest standards of peaceful coexistence, respect and acceptance of others in the tolerant land of the United Arab Emirates.”
