Things to do This Weekend in Dubai: A Brunch, a Pool Day and a New Venue

Words by EDGAR Daily

Tired of the usual “10 things to do this weekend?” Yep, so are we. Instead of that, we’re going to share what we’re up to instead.

Rob’s off to a pool day to celebrate his birthday, Tom’s writing off his Saturday at a Friday brunch, and Gareth might (will) stop by his new local.

Rob: Pool Day Royal Mirage

The perfect escape from the Dubai weekend rush. Opt for a lazy day at this peaceful hotel and you have access to four temperature-controlled pools and a kilometre-long beach. Throw in a BBQ lunch at Beach Bar & Grill and we’re looking at a seriously chilled day out.

Tom: A Brunch at Maya Mexican Kitchen + Bar, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa

Arriba Arriba! Unlimited cocktails and sharing Mexican dishes: ceviches, quesadillas, tacos – you name it. All-day pool and beach access. A Latin band crooning and serenading you all day. Sounds like a recipe for a pretty awesome Friday brunch. Standard package is AED 395 (soft drinks only), and the premium package is AED 555 (house beverages). They also have an early bird offer: 20% off if you book by Tuesday.

Gareth: The Hideout

The new restaurant/bar/club have set up shop in the space formerly occupied by Societe. Daily evening brunches at AED 200 sounds like a deal too good to be true. Fortunately it is.
