The 63rd Miss Universe pageant is underway, and ahead of the big finale on Sunday, January 25, the contestants have been taking part in perhaps the most famous and hotly anticipated stage of the whole competition: the bikini round.

Famously owned by Donald Trump (we wonder what his interest in Miss Universe could be?!), this year’s competition sees a multinational bevy of beauties from 88 countries all over the world descend on Trump’s National Doral Hotel in Miami.

With the pageant taking place in America, and the country leading the way in all-time victories (with seven altogether since the competition began in 1952), you wouldn’t bet against another win for the US. However, the American entrant will have stiff competition, with this year’s entries from Venezuela, the UK, Sweden, Costa Rica and Colombia also particularly fancied.

There really isn’t much more we can say, other than good luck, ladies, may the best woman win!
