Fresh from the catwalks of London Fashion Week, here are the in-trend male hairstyles for 2015, according to the style director at Toni&Guy, DIFC, Dubai.

The Fade

A little bit 70s, the retro bouffant is brought up to date with more movement and a lot less frizz, seen at Orlebar Brown and Hardy Amies. A cool and effortless tapered cut that’s easy to maintain; just apply volume mousse to create body on top and then blow dry backwards.

Slick Rick

Worn sleek or lousy tousled, high shine hair is on the up. Create a slick finish by smoothing hair down before combing through to create a glossy finish, or mess up with fingers to give grungy body and texture like the models at Baartmans and Siegel. Add a headband to accessorise if you’re feeling brave!

Laissez-Faire

Maybe it’s the normcore effect, but the styling at E. Tautz was just-got-out-of-bed hair at its best. Groomed yet artfully dishevelled with a touch of edgy-awkwardness, to get the look simply comb into place, finishing with a touch of matt paste to keep things on the right side of effortless.

Side by Side

Wet and shiny at Matthew Miller or dry but glossy at E. Tautz and Orlebar Brown, the deep side parting dominated the SS15 catwalks. A style that suits every face shape, try it on opposite sides to switch up your look. Whilst hair can be stubborn at staying put, simply use a little extra gel and train it to lie in a different direction.

Teddy Boy

Clean-cut styles have made a comeback with the perennial short back and sides making an appearance at Hardy Amies. Originally popular in the preppy 50s, the style is updated for the modern gent with a more matte, textured look.

For easy upkeep, simply start with freshly washed hair and blow dry forward using a wide-toothed comb, teasing locks to the side or slightly over the face.
